Chapter 13 Order Instructions: - Paper should be typed in Microsoft Word - Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt. font - Double-spaced or single spaced, same amount of information needs to be applied regardless of spacing. - Paper should be in APA format - Paper should be at least 3 pages of notes o Paper should have 4 parts of within:  Part 1: 2 full paragraphs of at least 5 sentences (this should be basically a summary of all of the main points in your own words, and if needed cite sources in APA format) • This should thoroughly explain the main idea of the chapter. This answer will typically include – “This chapter is about…, and goes over ideas related to …”  Part 2: This section should have the heading, “Part 2: Questions”, centered above it. This should be a question about topics you found interesting or confusing. (Find at least one topic in the chapter to write about.)  Part 3: Essay Questions: This section should be in a numbered question & answer format, with the heading “Essay Questions” centered above it. The essay questions to be answered in paper, are included below. These essay questions should have lengthy answers and fully explain what each question is asking. The question being answered should be in number format, with the answer being indented below the question, in paragraph form. 1. What is deductive reasoning? What does it mean to say that the conclusion to a syllogism is “valid”? How can a conclusion be valid but not true? True but not valid? 2. What is the basic assumption of the expected utility approach to decision making? What are some examples of situations in which people do not behave to maximize the outcome, as the utility approach proposes? 3. How can failure to take into account base rates cause errors in reasoning? Be sure you understand how the judging occupations experiment relates to the representative heuristic and base rates.  Part 4: Play through the first section of the link below. This game focuses on game theory and how we sometimes use probabilities to establish whether or not we should trust someone. For this paper, answer the questions below. For each question, there should be at least 2 full paragraphs used to answer it.
