DESIGN ANALYSIS: CASE STUDYA3 sheet/s (landscape format) case study analysis.
The aim of this case study is to analyse the Elements of Civic Architecture as integrated in to one of the selected exemplar projects.
Circulation: at least one large public staircase, one alternative staircase, one or more ramps of external incline and internal incline;
Public gathering space/s: an events terrace, a roof terrace, a sunken court, a covered sun shaded space; a wind protected space or series of spaces; intermission and prelude spaces;
Voids and volumes: an oculus or sky opening, a below ground space, an above ground space, an interconnected passage, an atrium volume, a cantilevered or hovering space;
Air / Light / Water space: a light filled space, an air space, a water space, a planted space, a space that draws spatial connection to a space below or above or in to a volumetric public space;
Terracing/ Terraces: a site platform/s, an under croft, a sectional ground scape, a carved space, a depressed plane, an elevated plane;
Arrival court/s: an open space, a connective space, a protected space, a screened space, an entry court, a threshold space/s;
Façade articulation: an innovative façade detail component or surface articulation that offers a contextually responsive and contemporary presence.
