class) You will have to research the poet and find 3 poems by them. Should communicate to your reader a sense of their work’s style and thematic
preoccupations and then make a value judgment about the work’s quality. A good poet to focus upon is Elizabeth Bishop, but choose a poet you didn’t
write on before.
Go in depth. What matters here is your ability to analyze the poems or plays and to use the strategies we have been using in class. How does the
author use their tools to create a connection with the reader?
