After you have read Chapter 12 (Early Theatre; Asian) and watched the video above answer the questions below using what you have learned in the chapter and the video.
Questions to answer:
- Identify and describe the predominant theatre of early India?
- Identify and discuss two aspects of early Chinese Theatre, prior to the Yuan Dynasty.
- No Theatre and Kabuki Theatre are the two types of early Japanese theatre that are closely related. Name one way they are the same and one way they are different?
- Compare and contrast Asian Theatre to Greek and Roman Theatre. What elements are the same and what elements are different? Be sure to include not only the script/plot but sets, costumes, stages and the physical theatre structures.
