In this assignment, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge about effective literacy assessment, programs and materials, and instructional practices for dyslexic students. Your task will involve reviewing a minimum of three articles addressing a specific assessment, program, set of materials, or instructional aspects of literacy (e.g., assessment and/or instruction, vocabulary, comprehension; developing effective literacy lessons, addressing the specific needs of struggling readers, etc.). Articles selected should be obtained from current (published within the last 5 years) print or electronic journals such as the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, Reading Online, or other peer reviewed/approved journals. turn in a 4 page paper summarizing your findings. Journals have to be excessable online for free.
