You will see that the plot is complex; part of what you will be watching for is how well a somewhat challenging story is kept engaging and effective for its audience. What else should you be looking for? Things we have talked about earlier in the course, like blocking, acting effectiveness, lighting effects, stage design, sound effects, and the like. You can review again the Elements of Drama, or Realms of Noticing here. Once you have seen the play​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​, your assignment will be to write a 2-3 page review of what you will have seen. If the production is a good one the cast will be able to make the play understandable and engaging, and, as we did with Fences, you can identify parts of it that seem both important and worth thinking about.
