Order Description
Students will write a formal paper addressing one of the major legal issues covered in the course (such as equal pay, religious expression in the workplace, employment
selection tests, and so on). The purposes of the paper are to:
Convey the student’s understanding of relevant employment laws;
Demonstrate the student’s ability to apply what he or she has learned within the employment life cycle.
Prior to conducting their research, students must obtain instructor approval for the issue selected. In addressing the issue, students must utilize a combination of
the assigned readings and outside sources (for a total of at least 10 scholarly sources). The Bible must also be utilized as a source.
Students will discuss:
Historical development of the issue.
Impact on the modern workplace.
Potential trends for future treatment of the issue.
How an employer might apply a Christian worldview in addressing the issue.
In this paper, students must convey their understanding of the assigned reading material covered within the course, as well as their ability to synthesize information
from a variety of sources.
The submission should be at least 10-12 pages in length (not including title page, reference page, exhibits, and so on), and must leverage content from the assigned
readings, supplemental readings of the student’s choosing and class discussions. The paper must be formatted according to APA guidelines.
In order to earn the maximum available points for this paper, students must:
Convey an understanding of course content in developing their response.
Provide a sufficient level of depth and content in addressing the issue.
Provide a clear and cogent discussion of a Christian worldview.
Provide a response that is well-written and presented with excellent grammar and formatting.
