Discipline: Renewable Energy Policy
Nevada's transportation industry consumes more than one-third of the state's total end-use energy. Industrial, residential, and commercial sectors consume one-fifth of the state's total energy. Three-quarters of Nevada's people live in Clark County, which borders the Colorado River and includes Las Vegas. Nevada's per capita energy consumption is less than in approximately three-fourths of the states, and the quantity of energy consumed per dollar of GDP is substantially below the national average. However, in Las Vegas, residents should focus on turning waste and landfill gas into fuel. Incentivize people in the educational system to teach at the k-12 level the benefits of biomass conversion. Incorporating biomass conversion into the educational system will aid in the long-term sustainability of this energy source. As a result, this will reduce our carbon footprint. (EIA. 2022)
