"Dimensionism: Modem Art in the Age of Einstein"

Attend the exhibition "Dimensionism: Modem Art in the Age of Einstein" at BAMPFA (https://bampfa.org/program/dimensionism-modem-art-age-einstein (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) and write a 2-3pp (as usual.. 1" margins, double-spaced, 12-point font) analytical response to 1-2 artworks in the exhibit. Your response should relate back to temporal concepts addressed in class (for instance, history, memory, relativity, identity, ethics, language, narrative, creative process, modernity, standardization... the list goes on) in addition to close, analytical engagement with the artwork(s) and/or space of exhibition. Further, in order to receive full credit, your response should reflect composition skills we have emphasized in class: clear statement of claim, transitions within and between paragraphs, and especially, vivid description as we will not necessarily be familiar with the work you are writing about. You may take pictures to accompany your essay. Keep in mind that these pictures do not count towards the length requirement and that pictures do not stand in for description because our perception of the work may be totally different from ours (RELATIVITY!).
