Dialogue between charecters

Write 8 lines of dialogue and then answer the questions from part 2 Step 1 Write a short scene of dialogue between characters (either protagonist and antagonist — or protagonist and supporting character(s) — or all of them) that help establish their relationship with each other. This can be either a positive relationship or a conflicting relationship. Think about the idea you have for a one-act play and choose a scene where this type of dialogue will fit. Set it up like this: CHARACTER 1 NAME Dialogue: CHARACTER 2 NAME Dialogue: Your scene should include 8-10 lines of dialogue. This should be a short conversation between two of your characters that moves your story forward. You may want to use the inciting event (or climax). Use the same format as above. Example: SHELLEY: You wanna play with my new invention? It's a time machine. LIAM: Sorry, Shelley, I’m not in the mood. SHELLEY: What's wrong? LIAM: I’m depressed because our whole summer is practically over. I wish there was some way we could go all the way back to the beginning of June. (Sudden realization.) Hey, wait a minute! Wait, you built a time machine? SHELLEY: Yeah, I spent last month turning my mom's ipad into a flux capacitor. Wanna see how it works? LIAM: Of course! Can we use it to start summer vacation all over again? (Other kids enter the stage to watch what's going on.) Step 2 (self-review) • Do you think you accomplished the goals of establishing relationships in one section and moving the story forward in the other? How or how not? If not, what can you do to make that happen? • Do you think each character’s words and way of speaking sounds like it is different from the other characters? Explain. If you think all your characters sound alike, what can you do to change that? • Do you think the dialogue sounds like real conversation? Explain. If you think it does not, what can you do to change that?
