Diabetic Ketoacidosis

Diabetic Ketoacidosis Order Description GUIDELINES FOR PATHOPHYSIOLOGY PAPER: 1. Select a topic related to pediatric pathophysiology. Paper should be 8-10 pages in length, excluding reference pages. Faculty approval is required prior to beginning work. 2. Develop the pathophysiology and its diagnostic evaluation using current resources. Do not discuss clinical management or nursing care. 3. Conduct and submit an on-line search of the topic. 4. Submit an annotated bibliography for three of the journal articles you use for the paper. 5. Papers must be formatted and typed using APA guidelines. As a reminder, the assignment consists of three sections. 1. The on-line search. Please include your search terms, and a list of the papers that the search yields. There a several formats that you can use to provide this information. You can use any format you choose, as long as I can see your search terms, and the list. 2. The annotated bibliography. If you need help with the format of an AB, the Perdue Owl website is a good resource. The point of an AB is for you to summarize the key points of a journal article, so that when you are doing research, you can quickly identify papers that are useful for a particular section. The AB should include a statement to yourself about why you found this particular paper useful. 3. The research paper. The paper should be written in APA format. The Perdue Owl is a good resource if you have questions. From past experience, I suggest you review the format for the citations within the text of the paper, as well as the formating of your reference list. The paper should be 8-10 pages long, and should focus on PATHOPHYSIOLOGY. Diagnosis and treatment are not the focus of this paper. Check that you are using appropriate font size and line spacing. Be sure you are citing all of your resources within the text.
