-Postcolonial approaches, and how they can help us to understand the complex ways in which constructions of deviance and criminality have worked to, and continue to work to, oppress Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, and Indigenous people around the world. lnclude concepts of race, racism, privilege, colonialism, neo-colonialism, decolonisation, orientalism, and the role the CJS in particular (and capitalism as well) has played in excluding and oppressing First Nations Australians.
