Develop a Recruiting Plan for a Corporate Internship Program

  You are hired to create a staffing plan for a corporate internship program. You can use any industry or organization. You will submit the following: A 1 page executive summary with a purpose statement and high level summary of what is being submitted. Create an intern job description using this template Job Description Template.docPreview the document. Use Chapter 4 and Module 4 as a reference. Create a recruitment brand or message for the internship program. Consider a unique tagline that will attract students to your program. Create a Recruitment Guide for the Intern position. See page 217, Exhibit 5.4 for an example. In this guide include your strategy to reach an appropriate applicant pool. Identify who will be involved in the interviews and what type of interview you recommend and how many people will be in each interview. Identify important recruitment metrics and explain what is being measured and why this information is important. Refer to Exhibit 13.7 on page 652 for common staffing metrics. Create an online job advertisement. Look at job boards for good examples and draft your job ad. Develop a list of 10 interview questions based off of job description and KSAs. Explain the relevance for each question. Why are you asking the question and how does it relate to the position? Remember each question should relate back to the job description. Create a selection grid for successful candidates. The criteria you use for selection must be tied requirements listed in the job description.
