Design a scientifically-informed intervention

design a scientifically-informed intervention to change a specific behavior. Your paper can be written for an audience of policy makers, consumers, or marketers. Whichever audience you choose, you should a) identify a specific, consequential behavior; b) analyze why that behavior happens; c) identify the relevant environmental influences that affect the behavior; d) come up with one or more changes to the environment or choice architecture that will get people to act in the desired way; and e) describe how you would test the efficacy of such an intervention. You may not discuss an example used in class.

In designing your intervention, a) make sure that it could realistically be implemented by your target audience; and b) make sure that it preserves people’s freedom to act as they wish (e.g., banning something is not allowed!).
