Attend a Deaf community event and write a 2 page paper on your experience as a hearing person in an ASL environment. briefly mention how you ignored available auditory information to focus on ASL as the primary language/source of information.
- The deaf event was at Starbucks in Linden NJ. on April 11th. Three cops came to join the deaf community and answer any questions they may have had when it comes to feeling safe or being pulled over by a cop. Deaf people seam to get more nervous around cops because of the lack of sound. I tried to add the facebook social site to better understand the event. There are pictures and some video on the facebook site. **The reason for the event is for me to socialize as an ASL student with the deaf community.
