Select a topic that is a current issue that is controversial or moves people to take action. Make sure that the topic is something that you can explain and that you care about. Create a proposition statement (proposition of policy, proposition of fact or proposition of value) that you intend to prove and/or that will reflect the solution.

Although we support Freedom of Speech, we cannot accept topics that advocate or support criminal or illegal activities at the county, state or federal level. In addition, we cannot accept topics that violate the CCBC Student Code of Conduct. If you have questions about your topic, please consult your professor.
