In a brief, coherent, thesis-driven essay conforming to all MLA issues, explain your current event choice, why you picked it, why you think it will be useful for your research project, and how you plan to complete the various aspects of your project.

The event must be actual, specific thing that occurred no earlier than 12 October 2021. It may be a local, national, or international event. It should be something that garners enough coverage to give the reader enough sources (and enough of a variety of sources) to use in her or his annotated bibliography and research essay.
