Using the following thesis statement write a 600-word essay: (the story)
thesis statement: - Flannery O'Connor's "A Good Man Is Hard To Find," contains humor.

NOTE: I need a rough draft for 1/24/2020 but not the finished work, just to let know that not the whole essay is needed before the deadline, just a structured draft…. :)

  1. Use MLA heading and page numbering
  2. Have a creative and pertinent title
  3. Have author and title in first sentence
  4. Do not summarize the story
  5. Quote from the text but not in the thesis paragraph
  6. You must have thesis statement somewhere in the first paragraph
  7. Your first/thesis paragraph should also mention the reason/examples you'll use to support your thesis.
  8. Avoid the funnel approach in the thesis paragraph
  9. Avoid first person pronouns and second person
  10. keep verbs in present tense when discussing the storyline
  11. Don't use any Webster definition
  12. Remember the author is not the narrator. Say "the narrator" not "O'Connor says."
  13. This is not a research paper; do not consult secondary sources for help in writing this essay.
