Prompt: Bahrain experienced an uprising in 2011, the uprising was short-lived and shutdown quickly by brutally suppressing the masses. The crackdown on people protesting was supported largely by an army sent from Saudi Arabia along with other GCC countries. Please explain why a revolution in Bahrain led GCC country to quickly intervene and respond the way they did. Also what’s the importance of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia and why they felt the need to save the Khalia monarchy?
