This week, we focus on Chapters 5 and 6 as well as Canvas resources I provide to help students who may not have textbook access. Everyone will have something to contribute after reading, viewing and considering one another's points of view.
Keep the https://rccd.instructure.com/courses/31766/pages/five-points-of-inquiry in mind as you read and discuss our textbooks. Healthy discussion is a discourse, which means you should communicate and reply to one another. See the https://rccd.instructure.com/courses/31766/pages/discussion-board-sample and Netiquette listed in the Class Policies page as you discuss our online readings.
Areas of comparison and contrast include these and others you may choose:
Duty (dharma) to society - What is the good life for Hindus, Buddhists and/or Jain?
Karma (action) - What is the purpose of bodily existence?
Reincarnation - How does this cycle work for each community?
Liberation - How does one find release, enlightenment or freedom? Why do these 3 differ?
