Description
Comparing Cities
In this assignment, you will compare two cities based on publicly available statistical information from StatsCan and increase your competency in assessing numerical data through analysis and evaluation.
Every 5 years, the federal government conducts a census of the population of Canada. Analysis of the data collected helps paint a portrait of the people who live in our country, our cities, our neighborhoods and more.
You will compare two Canadian Census Metropolitan Areas (CMA) from this list, conduct some basic analysis using the data that can be found here. You are strongly advised to speak to a librarian from the Mop and Dato Library to develop an understanding of utilizing this material. Two workshops will be held in October, noted below. Additionally, you are encouraged to review the library course guide for INl235:

Please do the following:
- Choose a theme that you would like to focus your comparison on. This theme needs to allow you to identify similarities and differences between the two cities.
- Select 6 pieces of data or statistics that you'd like to use in comparing your two cities. The total population is not acceptable as one of the 6 data pieces, but the City's ranking in terms of the total population by country is acceptable. Make sure you can collect the same data pieces for both cities and try to focus the data in relation to lo your selected theme.
- Present the data in a clear, focused format (perhaps in a table or some other form of data visualization) with a written description to support the data
- Write a 750-word analysis (word count does not include references) of your two cities that includes the following:
a. Your theme
b. Key findings
c. Similarities and differences between the cities
d. Analysis and discussion of the similarities and differences and why they might exist
e. A conclusion - Reference all of your sources (both in-text and in a bibliography) using APA formatting
