Community members/responders take responsibility in preparedness prior to any disaster

Nurses on the Front Line: Preparing for emergencies and disasters’ modules. Initial Post: Consider that local community members/responders take responsibility in preparedness prior to any disaster and assist in search and rescue, treating casualties, maintaining shelters, and restoring order after a disaster has occurred. As noted in the ‘Nurses on the front line: Preparing for emergencies and disasters’ training modules, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, & Explosive (CBRNE) events require a nurse to prepare on three levels. If a CBRNE event occurred in your local community, describe at least one way you should have prepared on a (1) personal level, (2) a community level, and (3) a professional level. Use the ‘Nurses on the front line: Preparing for emergencies and disasters’ training modules as your reference(s) for your initial post and any assigned reading from week 1 (must have two minimum references for initial post).
