Community Agency “Visit”

Find  a local (to you) organization that provides direct service to children  and their families.  Consider the following support services:
Child Abuse Intervention Programs
Hospice/Palliative Care
Parent Education
Homeless Shelter
Drug and Alcohol Services
Foster Care
Food Programs
Preschool/K-12/Early Intervention
Your  first step is to view their website.  Access a brochure, pamphlet or an  information sheet that outlines the specific services the agency  provides.
Spend  time analyzing the services provided, and develop a resource to be  shared with your cohort on how this agency supports children and  families who may also be receiving supports for medical diagnoses, and  how child life teams can better collaborate with agencies providing  other essential supports for the same children and families we serve!
