Module Title Research Practice and Communication Individual Submission Cohort: Sept Module Code 3024EXQ Coursework Title Literature Scoping, Review and Proposal Hand out date: Lecturer Due date and time: Estimated Time (hrs): 40 Word Limit*: 2500 Coursework type: Literature scoping, review and proposal % of Module Mark: 100% Submission arrangement online via CUMoodle: The submission requirements will be set out on the module web. Submission will be via Moodle only and will be subject to Turnitin. Failure to submit your work in accordance with the submission criteria will result in a mark of zero. Mark and Feedback Date: Marking and feedback on the submission will be done electronically and within 2 weeks of the submission date. The submission will be independently assessed by the Research Supervisor and a designated Second Assessor who will read the report and determine the mark to be awarded in accordance with the rubric marking criteria (available on Moodle). If the two marks differ by less than 10%, the final mark will be the average of the two. If the marks differ by more than this amount and an agreed mark is not reached, a 3rd independent marker will be allocated to mark the work, in which case the mark will be final. Written feedback will be provided with the mark breakdown on Moodle via the same link used for the submission. Method of Assessment: Students who undertake any form of research are expected to make an ethics application which must be done through CU Ethics system and should be approved by faculty deadlines. Any student who undertakes any form a research prior to receiving ethics approval will be subject to the Ethics Misconduct process which is outlined in the General Regulations, Appendix 1. Penalties can include zero for your work and possible exclusion from the University for Non-compliance with the ethics process.
