The paper focuses on the dignity of the human person from a Christian standpoint. It should address
three major areas, namely, (i) the human person and human dignity as discussed in Catholic Social
Teaching (see the Compendium of Catholic Social Doctrine & “Themes of CST”) and other readings; (ii) the
dignity of young people as discussed in Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation Christus Vivit; and (iii)
application of these discussions to the lives/situations of young people today and the challenges thereof.
