Culture, race, and ethnicity play a significant role in child development. They influence how children learn, grow, and interact with the world around them. My own culture, race, and ethnicity have had a profound impact on my development.
I was born and raised in a Chinese-American family. My parents immigrated to the United States from China when they were young adults, and they raised me with strong Chinese values. These values included the importance of education, hard work, respect for elders, and family unity.
