Question 1 — Research an example of the business judgment rule used in a legal case/business context over the last 10 years. Provide a link to the article/story and provide a one paragraph explanation of how it worked in the article/case you find — one that shows an understanding of the definition provided in the beginning of the lecture notes.
Question 2 — Research the hierarchy of American Law. This question is basically asking in what order are different levels of law ranked or trump others (lower levels of law). A hierarchy list alone is sufficient — no need to provide an explanation. Your assignment is to submit a ranking or hierarchy of law on the American Legal system, start with the highest law of the land and also submit a paragraph on the supremacy clause and what it means — all in your own words. And finish with the lowest ranked law of the land. For more clarification — if there is a conflict between state and federal law, the federal law would trump because it is ranked higher than state law in our legal system.
