Book Review - Indigenous First Nation’s author
Remember that main aim of a scholarly book review is not to summarise the content of the book, but to examine the distinction of this particular piece of literature within the field of Indigenous and First Nations literature. Critically examine the author’s purpose and impact on you the reader. How did this piece of work add to the overall voice within the particular genre of the book, the country in which it is placed, and of First Nations literatures as a whole? You may also want to look at the author of the book. As we have been examining this semester that identity and cultural connectedness are embedded within First Nations literature and so you may not be able to fully reflect upon the overall message of a book without too reflecting on the place from which the piece of Indigenous literature stems.
