1)Take some time to find academic sources for your research notes/research paper.( See attached
file for research note)
2) Using any university library databases and find 8 academic journal articles that match your
research topic. Pick one topic from the list below
• Discuss a book or a film that has a meaningful societal impact
• Pick a famous person, and discuss either why they are important, or why they are not important
• What should self-determination look like for Indigenous communities in Canada?
• Why was Donald Trump elected President in 2016?
• Does watching professional sports benefit people? Why or why not?
• What are the ethical implications of CRISPR?
• Compare and contrast 2-3 pandemic outbreaks at different moments in history
• Compare and contrast two superheroes
• Discuss whether or not Canada should offer Universal Basic Income to its citizens
• Is there a dichotomy between “keeping the economy open” and “saving lives”? Discuss.
3)List the title of the journal articles and the title of the journals below.
4) Using Purdue OWL, or the textbook, find 20 errors in the following MLA Works Cited.
Bold (ctrl B) each error and, in a word or two placed in square brackets next to the error [like
this], explain how to fix the problem.
