choose a topic that is of bioethical interest to you, and write an argumentative paper of no less than 1,500
words on that topic. This will be a comprehensive moral analysis of this topic. Here's what you must include:
- A thesis statement. You must take a moral position on this topic. Your thesis statement should take this form: "In this paper, I will argue that…" This is what makes it an argumentative paper. It takes a moral stand and defends it with arguments.
- An analysis of the topic using at least 2 moral theories (it doesn't matter if the theories support or disagree with your position. You just need to show that you understand how to apply the theories to the topic).
- The use of at least 5 moral terms and concepts that have been covered in the course (these can be ones we've already covered or ones that come up in the readings from the second half of the course. They can also come from Discussions.
- A counterargument, which shows your understanding of the reasons someone who disagrees with you
regarding this topic might take.
