Basic argument

This assignment asks you to present a defensible argument for which you offer claims and evidence to support your thesis (overall argument). You are free to choose any topic or idea around which to construct your argument, but be careful to stay focused and narrow in your scope. This is a small paper to get in the writing mode; as such, you should concentrate on the basics of compositional and argumentation: a tight thesis, well-supported with logical claims/ effective evidence, and coherently structured. This paper should have a hook title, an introduction paragraph, a conclusion paragraph with a “so what?,” and one to three body paragraphs beginning with a transitional topic sentence and embodying your claims/ evidence.
