In a few sentences, what is this article about?
In a paragraph or two, what do you think about this topic?
Modern methods of organ transplantation have been around for about 150 years. Like most medical
procedures the initial attempts were unsuccessful and led to the death of the patient. Over time as
understanding and technique improved so did the chance of survival. And while organ transplantation remains
risky it is no longer unreasonable for a transplant to potentially add decades to a life that otherwise would have
been lost.

you think might arise from using these organs? Are there any other medical considerations that might need to
be addressed before attempting to use these organs?
Is it ethical to perform medical procedures that the doctor knows has a very low chance of success? Is it even
possible for a person to "consent" to a risky treatment if the alternative is certain death? What other ethical
concerns might arise from this new technology?
