Share images of architecture that caught your attention in a positive way. Explain what you found admirable about this particular structure. For example:
I find The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine (Links to an external site.) to be a really remarkable building. Because it is being built exactly the same way a
cathedral was constructed in the Middle Ages, using stone-on-stone construction--no metal structure to hold the building up--it will take another 100 years to
complete. It is the largest cathedral in the United States: twelve stories high and two football fields long. And it's only seventeen miles away from us. Approximately
2,000 people can fit inside, and in October they perform a service for St. Francis where elephants, llamas, goats, and a jar of cockroaches are walked down the center
aisle. Anyone who attends the service is permitted to bring his or her pet. I admire the way the space is utilized to accommodate modern needs, but has maintained its
integrity and relationship with past uses of the same type of architecture.
