Ancient Civilization

"Agriculture played a crucial role in ancient civilizations. Without proper harvests, whole cities could starve.
Many people lived at subsistence level and any deficit in agricultural production was devastating. Trade, on the
other hand, provided an outlet for growth in the exchange of ideas, in produced goods, and in the spread of
religion. All these aspects played a significant role in the ancient civilizations to be addressed."

  1. how technological advances in agriculture and growing trade routes created the distinctive culture found in
    the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Near East, India and Ancient China.
  2. Ensure the following points are addressed:
    ~ Discuss the major technological advances in our textbook reading. and to which society they can be traced.
    ~ Detail the major trade routes established.
    ~ Identify which cultures utilized specific trade routes.
    ~ Show how the advances in agriculture and trade influenced specific civilizations.
  3. Provide at least two academic resources in addition to the two textbooks listed above. 4 total references
