Analyze differences in advertising

Select a magazine of your choice and analyze the content of several issues, and, if possible, compare the print version to the on-line version (including
analyzing differences in advertising and size of readership). Write a report addressing the type of magazine, the substance of its content, the type of
advertising it carries, the audience it’s targeting, and your conclusions regarding its effectiveness in achieving its objectives. Also examine the advertising
content with regard to the target market of the ads (gender, age, socioeconomic status (SES)). Be sure to include a reference to the issues (dates) studied.
Research and include what company owns the magazine. Be sure to include SCHOLARLY* research to help make sense of your results (with proper
citations).
• -3 pts for failing to disclose which magazine (and subsequent issues/dates) was analyzed
• -3 pts for failing to discuss online version (or if one even exists)
• -2 pts each for discussing online version but failing to:
o Analyze differences in advertising

o Type of magazine/substance
o Advertising it carries
o Audience that is being targeted
o Student conclusions regarding the magazine’s effectiveness in achieving its objectives
