Prepare a 15-minute, slide-enhanced class presentation with a brief introduction in a foreign language, as explained below, on the topic of "Analysis of the role of food in business and society in my country. Discuss the cultural, ethical and organisational implications for global business and global managers."
In your presentation you will demonstrate your knowledge of relevant theories, recent research and the three sets of implications of the topic. You will also be able to demonstrate your international communication skills. You will achieve all this by:
(1) Critically discussing how the relevant theories apply in the case of the role of food in business and society.
(2) Supporting your analysis of the topic with research from at least 10 sources. At least 4 of these need to be academic and the rest from other sources, such as reliable media (e.g. The Economist, non- governmental, governmental, international and professional organisations, official corporate websites and national and international newspapers). All sources need to be referenced on your presentation slides (both by including in-text referencing and by producing a reference list at the end of your presentation).
(3) Discussing practical implications of this topic for intercultural communication for global managers.
