American National Government Order Description Select either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party and focus on the House or the Senate, with the goal of success in the 2018 elections. Choose ONE issue area from the following list (you may choose an issue not included on this list but have to receive prior approval from professor): ? Budget and the Economy ? Civil Rights (Race, Ethnicity, Religion, LGBTQ, etc.) ? Education Policy ? Energy Policy ? Environmental Policy ? Foreign Relations and National Security ? Gender Equality ? Gerrymandering ? Health Care ? Housing Policy ? Immigration ? Inequality Outline a governing strategy which includes ONE specific policy proposal in the issue area you have chosen, and explain how it can be enacted and/or implemented. Make sure to identify the groups of voters that are likely to support your proposal and which groups of voters are likely to oppose them, and make an argument for why you think they will yield electoral success.
