Assignment Descriiption:
Compare and contrast the social equity provisions of any two states with Adult Use Cannabis Programs. Specifically,
- Create a chart to outline and compare the following:
a.)The definition of a social equity applicant
b.)How tax or cannabis revenue is to be applied to the social equity component of the State’s adult use cannabis program - Using what you’ve learned in Step 1, evaluate which of the two states will have a greater impact in expanding participation in the cannabis industry by
social equity applicants and communities disproportionately impacted by on drug law enforcement including whether the selected state included any goals
or objectives and, if so, how the State planned to measure impact. Cite to literature to support this evaluation. - Propose at least two S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) objectives – social justice, economic, health, or social – that
the state could use to inform future decisions to continue, to modify, or expand social justice initiatives.
