Objectives
The aim of this study is to investigate the use of CPM approach in sustainable development of Economy and Environment Protection in Hong Kong.
It hopes to address the problem of sustainable development of economy and environment protection from an alternative perspective other than those currently in practice.
To achieve the aforesaid research aim, there are 5 specific research objective habe tentatively been identified.
I. To examine the current state of the Three-Runway-System in Hong Kong, so as to identify the problems associated with the EIA. By further categorization of the problems, corresponding analyses can be systematically carried out.
II. To identify the current measures used by the airport construction method to reduce impact, and also to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of such measures.
III. To review the Three-Runway-System Environmental Impact Assessment report for its compliance with the EIA study brief, Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance and Technical Memorandum.
IIII. To provide recommendations on successful mitigation measures from overseas case studies for protecting CWDS from future development projects, the economy and environmental protection can be balanced in Hong Kong.
