A Reading journal
Write a reading journal that summarizes the readings for the week and also contains your personal responses and reactions to the reading. You are asked to engage critically with the readings, not necessarily agreeing with everything the authors write.
After reading Real Indians, Chapters 1-4:
1. Summarize the assigned readings. Cite at least 2-3 specific passages in the readings, commenting on your understanding of them.
2. Discuss one aspect of the readings or an argument the author makes that you find unclear or muddy.
3. List the important sociological concepts (example: color-blind racism, etc.) that feature in each chapter. Explain why those concepts are important and what they help you understand.
