Your Final Project is to create an illustrated trend report on the entire season of Fashion Week (in all four major cities studied earlier this semester), organized by trends and presented in a magazine editorial style as you might read in a mainstream consumer fashion magazine today.

Provide a minimum of seven personally drawn illustrations, along with the photos that inspired your illustrations. In addition to providing your illustrations, submit a 100-word trend statement of the trends you have identified from this past season’s fashion weeks. Keep your statement concise, and make every word count. You will be deducted points for going over the word limit!

Please do not discount the written aspect of this assignment. Half of your grade for this project will be determined by your written interpretation of the runway. It is not enough merely to list the trends or state them in bullet points. Such an approach will earn you only a C. Getting an A requires an active engagement with the trends. This active engagement may take the form of a review, a conversation, or a starting point for a story. Build narratives around the trends and the models you have illustrated to depict these trends. Where is she going? What was she thinking when she decided to wear this outfit? What is her attitude about life? about her career?
Purpose

The purpose of the Final Project is to create an illustrated trend report that demonstrates your ability to identify, interpret, and actively engage in the trends of an entire season.
