  The ACA expanded insurance coverage, implemented quality improvement measures, and promoted value-based care, impacting how healthcare is delivered and financed nationwide.  

State Level:

These initiatives often involve collaborations between healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.  

Example from Nursing Practice:

In my previous role as a public health nurse, I worked with a community health center that served a predominantly low-income and uninsured population. Federal policies related to funding for community health centers directly impacted our ability to provide care. When funding was reduced, we had to cut back on services, reduce staff, and limit the number of patients we could serve. This directly affected the health of the community, as many individuals lost access to essential primary care, preventive services, and chronic disease management.
