Using the information covered in Chapter 3 of your textbook, briefly define corporate social responsibility (CSR). Then, find a current activity in the past 1-2 years in which the company you selected from the approved company list went above and beyond to demonstrate CSR or where they may have sorely failed. In your post, provide details on the good or bad deed. Do your findings change or enhance the way you will support the company in the future?

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a concept whereby businesses consider the interests of society by taking responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers, employees, shareholders, communities and the environment.

Current activity: In 2022, Google announced that it would be investing $1 billion in carbon removal projects over the next decade. This investment will help to fund research and development of new technologies to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Google is also working to reduce its own carbon emissions, and it has set a goal of being carbon neutral by 2030.
