Article Analysis

• Review and ONE article related to best practices or a sentinel event in the pediatric setting.
o Examples of best practices: palliative care for children suffering from terminal cancer, preoperative/preanesthesia checklists (time out), interventions to prevent catheter associated urinary tract infections, etc.
o Examples of sentinel events: medication errors, falls, retention of foreign objects during surgery, etc.
